O’Leno State Park, FL

We loved our visit to O’Leno State Park and plan on making a trip back out to see everything we did not have time to do. The park is near High Springs, FL and both the Santa Fe and Suwanee River. As we drove out to the park, we felt like we were driving out to the middle of nowhere, FL and yet as we explored the area, we found so many things to do. The park has rivers, trails, and a suspension bridge. The park has two camping loops. We stayed in the Magnolia Loop, which is closer to the river. We thought the Magnolia Loop was a little bit nicer and more spread out, but both loops are a little tight for large RVs. The campground was spacious, wooded, and well taken care of by the volunteers and the park rangers. We stayed in site 18, but also liked 24, 27, and 28. One of the best things about this park is the surrounding area. There are many parks and springs in the area if you are up for exploring. You could hike, canoe, and kayak through parks and springs for weeks on end. The only negative thing we found about this park is they did not have a state park sticker and we really enjoy collecting stickers from everywhere we visit. Florida springs are breathtakingly beautiful and one of the things that makes Florida the perfect place to plan your next trip!
