Manatee Springs State Park, FL
The park and the campsite were beautiful and had the woodsy feel with larger sites, picnic table, and a fire pit. The campsite had some privacy because of the trees, which was nice because we like the illusion of our own space. Some sites are sand, others gravel, only limited pad sites. Although listed as full hook-up the sewer was 20+ft from our connection and uphill, so we ended up just using the dump station on the way out. (Site 13) The entire campground is in walking distance to the springs and activity area. Take note, there is very little Cell service and WiFi only at the store. Firewood cannot be collected, or brought in, but volunteers were driving around daily with bundles for $7 each.
